The Information We Collect

The Gymboree Corporation collects certain personally identifiable information when you sign in on our web sites, register for on-line shopping, place an order, enroll your child in a Play & Music Program, participate in a contest, promotion or survey, or request other services that require information, registration or subscription. This information may include your name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, credit card numbers, and/or your child's date of birth, gender, occupation,and personal interests. We also keep a record of your product interests and purchases on-line and in our stores, and automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser (including your IP address, Gymboree and/or Janie and Jack cookie information, and the page you requested).

How We Use Information

The Gymboree Corporation uses customer information for three general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see on our sites; to fulfill your requests for certain products and services; and to contact you about new products or services, special events and promotions. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. How We Protect Kids' Privacy

The Gymboree Corporation is concerned about the safety and security of children when they use the Internet. In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent.

About "Cookies"

A "cookie" is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies permit us to track and target the interests of our users in order to enhance their experience on our web site.

The Gymboree Corporation never saves passwords or credit card information in cookies.

Advertisers or other companies do not have access to The Gymboree Corporation's cookies. Our Customer Service hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time.

Your Gymboree and/or Janie and Jack account information is password-protected for your privacy and security. The Gymboree Corporation will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or e-mail. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password and account information. Remember to sign out of your Gymboree and/or Janie and Jack account and close your browser window when you have completed your shopping to help ensure that others cannot access your personal information.

In addition, when you submit sensitive information via the Gymboree and/or Janie and Jack web sites, such as a credit card number, that information is encrypted and protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology.
